An action plan has been unveiled to drive the development of the city's Night-Time Economy.
Galway City Council's Action Plan for 2024-25 aims to develop and improve offerings between 6pm and 6am.
It's a vast plan that aims to develop a thriving, varied and sustainable night time economy.
It'll support programmes and initiatives that range from food, drinks, and culture, to arts, sport and youth spaces.
It's not just about supporting events and activities though - the new plan will also look at improving public spaces and lighting, as well as disabled access.
Underpinning the ambitious new blueprint are three core pillars.
Build on the city's rich calender of events; enhance infrastructure; and send a clear and consistent message about what the city can offer in the later hours.
So far, Galway City Council has supported the rollout of a number of initiatives - including a late evening market, late night cafes, and late night youth spaces.
