9,218 new cases of COVID-19

From the Galway Bay FM newsroom:

A further 9,218 new COVID-19 have been confirmed.

4,006 are positive PCRs and 5,212 are positive antigens registered on the HSE portal.

There are 824 people in hospital with the virus - a drop of 155 compared to this day last week.

79 are in ICU - down 15 over the same period.
