Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost 8,000 customers in Galway City East are currently impacted by a power outage.
According to the ESB power check website (click here), a total of 7,819 customers in the Ballybane, Ballybrit and surrounding areas are without power.
The ESB are currently working to repair a fault, which was reported at 9:40AM, and hope to have power restored before 11AM.
The outage is affecting traffic lights at Ballybane N6, Tuam Rd N6, Riverside and Liosbaun, and road Operations crews are on the way to site.
There are also outages at N6 / N59 junction at west side of Quincentennial Bridge, and UCHG hospital entrance.
Repair crews are currently on site at the N6/N59 and will transfer to UCHG shortly.
