Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over 60 artist-led organisations have secured arts grants from Galway City Council.

The funding announced at City Hall last evening totals €400 thousand.
A total of €400,000 is to be shared by over 60 artist-led organisations.

The funding ranges from €500 to €46,000 and has been awarded to a variety of art organisations across the city.
Galway International Arts Festival secured the largest allocation at €46,000.
This is followed by Galway Arts Centre with €35,000, and the Druid Theatre Company with €28,000.
The local authority says the grants aim to keep such organisations in business, reward them for the great work achieved online and offline, and assist them in developing programmes in the future.
