4 Galway villages discharging raw sewage into the environment according to a new EPA report

Four Galway villages are discharging raw sewage into the environment according to a new report.

The Environmental Protection Agency report on Urban Waste Water Treatment in 2018 shows that Roundstone, Carraroe, Spiddal and Ahascragh are currently discharging raw sewage into the environment.

According to Irish Water, the situation in the four Galway villages will not be fully resolved until 2022.
