Galway Bay fm newsroom - A man is to be released without charge shortly, and a file sent to the DPP over the death of a man in a stabbing incident in the city.
39-year-old Christoper McGrath died after being stabbed at a house on Cardinal Cushing Road in Mervue at around 4 o'clock on Sunday morning.
Mr. McGrath, who's not a city native but from County Galway, is understood to have lived at the house where the incident took place.
A man in his 60s, from the city, was arrested in connection with the incident - it's understood he'll be released without charge, from Mill Street station, within the hour.

A file will then be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
