3 Galway AIMS Awards winners at national musical society awards

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway musical societies took home three prizes at the weekend’s AIMS awards in Killarney.

Galway Musical Society brought home 3rd place for overall show with Rent, while Helena Brosnan who played Maureen won Best female singer.

Meanwhile, Marion Choral Society, home to our very own Ronan Lardner, claimed Best Chorus for their production of Sister Act.

The Association of Irish Musical Societies hosts the awards each year to celebrate musical societies across the country.
