2,700 households and businesses impacted by water outage at Monivea Road

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Households and businesses on the Monivea Road in the city are without water today.

It's due to a burst watermain on the outlet pipe from Briarhill reservoir.

Irish Water says a crew is carrying out emergency repairs and traffic management systems will be in place.

It's understood about 2,700 buildings are affected.

Water supply is expected to be restored from 4pm.
