Galway Bay fm newsroom - 18 schools across Galway are to share a fund of over €1.3 million euro as part of the 2021 summer works scheme.
The Minister for Education Norma Foley has announced the approval of 275 projects nationwide with a funding allocation of €31 million.
The scheme is designed to allow schools to carry out small and medium scale building works that will improve and upgrade existing school buildings with this package focusing on roof works and toilet facilities.
It's been announced now to give schools time to plan for projects in the summer.
