That's according to research conducted by the Irish Cancer Society.

Bowel cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in Ireland with an average of 2,500 cases recorded annually.

This month, the Irish Cancer Society is leading an awareness campaign to highlight common symptoms and early signs of the condition.
