Galway Bay fm newsroom - 11 Galway youth organisations and services are to receive funding from the Department of Children.
Almost 80 thousand euro has been awarded to the groups by Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman, from a national pot worth 2.3million euro.
The largest allocation of over 17 thousand euro has been awarded to Youth work Ireland Loughrea.
The East Galway Involve Youth Service Ballinasloe is to receive 15 thousand euro, while its Loughrea service will get over 10 thousand euro.
Meanwhile, funding has also been awarded to groups including Bru Bhride Traveller West Tuam, Connemara's Forum Adolescent Support Programme and Youth Work Ireland Galway Westside.
Almost 80 thousand euro has been awarded to 11 Galway youth organisations and services in total.
The funding is being distributed to 147 targeted staff-led youth projects nationwide by the Department of Children.
