Galway Bay fm newsroom - COPE Galway has been allocated 95 thousand euro in additional investment for its domestic, sexual and gender based violence services.
This is part of a national investment of 1.5 million euro by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
The funding will allow COPE Galway develop enhanced outreach services across the county.
It will also provide for three additional accommodation units and will support the charity's new domestic abuse service at Modh Eile House on Forster Street.
COPE Galway Domestic Abuse Service Manager, Dr Carol Baumann says the extra funding is vital for service expansion.
