Listen to our tribute to Galway 3-in-a-row legend Noel Tierney, who was laid to rest last week in his native Milltown. Widely regarded as the greatest Gaelic Football Full Back of all time, Noel died last week aged 82, just one week after a huge crowd turned out in his native parish to pay tribute to their most decorated player and to mark the 60th anniversary of his selection as Footballer of the Year.
Galway Bay FM Head of Sport Ollie Turner, a fellow Milltown man, narrates the hour-long documentary which includes contributions from Noel's son Martin and granddaughter Ciara, 3-in-a-row legends Bosco McDermott and Jimmy Duggan, former RTE Sunday Game presenter Jim Carney, current Footballer of the Year Paul Conroy, Milltown GAA Club's Eoin Godwin and John Hehir, Ballinasloe GAA Historian Willie Tully and, of course, from Noel Tierney himself...
