The GAA has called an emergency meeting of all county chairpersons, secretaries and treasurers in Croke Park to discuss the ongoing audits being conducted by revenue on several counties including Galway.
The potential tax liabilities faced by County boards were a consistent theme at last night’s Galway GAA Convention and due to the recently instigated risk review by the Revenue Commissioners, Galway GAA officers have not yet signed off on the end-of-year accounts.
Speaking on Galway Talks with John Morley, newly re-elected Chairman and Central Council Delegate for Galway GAA, Paul Bellew, discussed the impact these audits could have both locally and nationally.
