Cyril Dunne, a crucial member of Galway's 3-in-a-row All Ireland winning squad, has passed away at the age of 83.
The Ballinasloe clubman was the free-taker supreme at wing forward for the all-conquering Galway team, scoring a combined 16 points in the three All-Ireland Finals from 1964 to 1966. His father, John 'Tull' Dunne, was the trainer of that great Galway team.
