Nellie Connolly (née Coyne)
On Saturday, 21 October, Nellie (in her 92nd year) died peacefully at Galway University Hospital, following a brief illness with her much-loved family by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Mick, siblings, Mary, Nora and James and by her daughter-in-law Caroline.
Nellie is mourned and sadly missed by her daughter Mary, sons James, John, Michael and Christopher, sister Bridget, brother John, son-in-law David, daughters-in-law Mary, Karen, Bernadette and John’s partner Bridget, adored grandchildren Orla, Aoife, Elaine and Davey, David, Emma and Rachel, Dean, Matilda and Megan, Andrew, Aaron and Ethan, Thomas, Jennifer and Darragh, great grandchildren Ryan and Josh, the extended Connolly and Coyne family, fabulous neighbours and many great friends.
Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family Funeral Parlour, Mervue, on Tuesday, 24 October, from 5.00 p.m. Removal at 7.00 p.m. to St. Columba’s Church, Castlegar, to arrive at 7.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Nellie on Wednesday, 25 October, at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Lisheen cemetery, Ballybrit.
