John passed away peacefully at Galway University Hospital on New Years day, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Cecilia. Predeceased by his sons Tommy and Gerard and two baby infants. Mourned and sadly missed by his sons and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, the extended McDonagh family, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at St. Pio's Room within the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway on Friday, 5 January, 2024 from 5.30 p.m. with Removal into the Church at 6.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John on Saturday, 6 January, at 11.30 a.m. Private cremation to follow.
May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
