The death has occurred of Seamus (James) Callanan

Three acres, Knockauncoura, Loughrea, Galway, H62 WE18

Seamus passed peacefully from this life in his 93rd year, on 17th April 2025, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of the Galway Hospice.

Predeceased by his wife Mai and his grandson baby Jack.

Seamus will be deeply missed by his wife Bridie and his family Mary (Smyth), JJ, Pat, Martin, Dympna (Darcy) and Bernie, his daughters-in-laws, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply mourned by members of the extended family and his many kind neighbours and friends, in particular Noel Crowe.

Seamus will repose at his residence (H62 WE18) on Saturday 19th April from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral cortége will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Clostoken on Sunday 20th April at 12.45pm for Requiem Mass for Seamus at 1pm.

Burial will take place after Mass in Clostoken Cemetery.
