The death has occurred of Patrick Joseph (P.J.) Finnerty, Cross Street, Loughrea, Galway and formerly of Moyleen, Loughrea and London
PJ passed away peacefully on Thursday 17th April 2025, in the presence of his loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff of the Knock Ash Unit at St Brendan's CNU, Loughrea.
Predeceased by his beloved parents Thomas and Ann.
PJ will be deeply missed by his brothers Michael and Kieran and his sisters Mary (Hawkins) and Joan (Cannon).
He will be sadly mourned by his sister-in-law Della, brothers-in-law Johnny and Aidan, his aunt Bernie Forde and uncle Paddy Naughton, his nieces Grace, Pearl and Lisa, nephew Gavin, members of the extended family, kind neighbours and many friends.
PJ will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, Barrack Street, Loughrea (H62 DV 76) on Sunday 20th April from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortége will arrive at St Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea at 12.15pm on Monday 21st for Requiem Mass for PJ at 12.30pm. Burial will take place after Mass in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
