The death has occurred of Gerry McCormack, Cartron, Kinvara, Co. Galway. Peacefully, on the 19th of April, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the fantastic staff of the Cardiac I.C.U of University Hospital Galway.
Pre-deceased by his parents Peter and Maisie and by his siblings.
Cherished and much loved, Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Bernie, forever loved by his children Katie, Conor and Caiman. Fondly remembered by his sister’s, extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, great neighbours, many friends and by all his connections in the Connemara Pony Breeder’s Society.

Gerry will lie in repose at his residence Cartron, Kinvara (H91 RR9D) on Wednesday evening, April, 23rd, from 4pm until 7pm. The funeral cortege will arrive on Thursday April, 24th to St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara for Requiem Mass at 1pm, followed by a committal service at Shannon Crematorium at 4pm.
