The death has occurred of Sean Forrestal, Oughterard, Co. Galway and formerly Castleknock, Co. Dublin.
Sean died after a long illness in the care of University Hospital Galway on the 24th March surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his wife, Mary O’Dowd, his sons Brian and Michael and his daughter Maeve, his adored grandchildren Fiona, Lily, Isla and Fiachra, daughters in law Rebecca and Ciara, and Maeve’s partner Christopher, friends, neighbours and carers.

Reposing at his home in Oughterard, Tuesday, 25th March, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Arriving for Requiem Mass on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killannin. Private Cremation to follow.
Those who wish to offer their condolences to the family on Tuesday evening use the guidance of the Funeral signs for arriving to his home, a one way traffic system will be in operation, Exit the N59 towards Porridge town,and Birchall, follow Funeral signs.
