Seamus passed peacefully from this life on the 8th of December 2023, after a short illness, in the care of the staff of the Holy Family Nursing Home, Killimor, Co Galway.

Predeceased by his parents Tommy Joe and Christina and his brother Tommy.

Seamus is deeply regretted by his brother Denis, his nephew Thomas, his grand-nieces Maddison and Robyn, his sisters-in-law Margaret and Shirley.
Seamus will be sadly missed by his close friends Ken, Lorraine, Brendan and Sean Daly, members of the extended family and his friends and neighbours in Portumna and Ballingarry.

Seamus will repose at Dignity Funeral Care Funeral Home, Portumna on Monday, 11th December, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortege will arrive to St. Brigid’s Church, Portumna on Tuesday, 12th December, at 10.45am for Requiem Mass for Seamus at 11am. For those unable to attend Mass can be viewed on the following link:
Mass will be followed by a funeral service for Seamus in Shannon Crematorium (V14 PV30) at 2.00pm.

The family would like to thank all the staff and carers in the Holy Family Nursing Home, Killimor for their kindness to Seamus during his time with them.
Whether it was during his 33 year career with Lyons Tea, travelling the countryside or cycling the roads of Portumna during his retirement, Seamus endeared himself to many during his life and was seen by all as one of life's true gentlemen.
