Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the care and comfort of the staff at Caiseal Geal nursing home where she resided for the past two months. Predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas (cigire scoile), her granddaughter Sophie, daughter-in-law Sinéad and her sisters Mary and Betty.
It is with much love and gratitude that we lay a wonderful mother to rest, who will be greatly missed by her children, Enda, Rory, Brian, Deirdre, Gráinne and Francis, their spouses and partners, Carol, Kevin, Rashid and Carol, grandchildren, Stephanie, Abbie, Matthew and Cian, her brother Joe, brother-in-law Paddy, sister-in-law Claire, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Thursday, 29 August from 4.30 p.m. Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, arriving at 7.00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Rita on Friday, 30 August at 11.00 a.m. following which she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery, Rahoon Road (H91 XW62).
