The death has occurred of Philip McIntyre
Portland, Lorrha, Nenagh, Co Tipperary
After a long and happy life, Philip McIntyre, in his 93rd year, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on 16th of March, in the care of the dedicated staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Beloved husband of his late wife, Mary (Liffey).
Pre-deceased by his brothers Louis and Joseph.
Philip was a wonderful father to John, Aiden, Dympna, Cathal and Gabriel. He will be sadly missed by adored grandchildren Éanna, Donal, Eoin, Niall, Clodagh and Cathal, his daughters-in-law Pauline (Dillon), Pauline (Donnelly), Sarah (Donnelly), his sisters Sr Bernadine (South Africa) and Ita (Mullen, Woodford) and brother-in-law Michael Liffey (Riverstown).
Philip will be remembered fondly by all the members of the extended family, his neighbours and friends and the wider Lorrha GAA community.
Philip will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village (H53 AY18) on Tuesday 18th March from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
Funeral cortége will arrive at St Ruadhan's Church, Lorrha on Wednesday 19th March at 10.45am for Requiem Mass for Philip at 11am.
Burial will take place after Mass in the adjoining cemetery.
