Peter passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Brigid (Scahill) and his sister Freda Keary (Mountbellew). Deeply missed by his loving wife Aileen (Hughes), his children Barry, Helen and Maggie, daughter-in-law Caroline (Aherne), son-in-law Eoin Loughnane and Anthony Leifi, adored grandchildren Tom, Mia, Harry, Ella, Nio and Aniva, his brother Martin (Barranny) his sisters Mary Casey (Lanesboro) and Anne Buckley (Barranny). Mourned also by his nieces, nephews, godchildren, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended members of the Newell Family, neighbours, friends, the wider Annaghdown Community and all the staff and customers of Newell Roofing Products whom he cherished dearly.

Reposing at Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel (H91HN83) on Saturday 16th of December from 2pm removal at 5pm to his home. Removal from his home on Sunday, 17th of December, at 12.30pm for funeral Mass at 1pm in St.Brendan's Church, Annaghdown (H91YE39) burial afterwards in Annaghdown Cemetery (H91FCDI). Mass will be live-streamed at www.churchtv.ie/annaghdown.
In honor of Peter's love of people, story-telling and local history, donations to Annaghdown Heritage Society are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
