Florentine Hayden, Ardnamara, Salthill. My very deep & sincere sympathy to Mary & The O Dowd Family on the sad passing of Peadar. Peadar was a real gentleman to the finger-tips. I have great memories of times spent in the Galway Lawn Tennis Club especially in the Badminton section. May his soul rest in the arms of Jesus,

James Tully, Sharon, Massachusetts.

Sincere condolence's to Peadar’s wife Mary, his brothers and extended family on the passing of Peadar. While teaching at St. Benin’s Vocational School Glenamaddy I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. O’Dowd when I attended some classes he gave at that time. This was long before he became leading Historian of Galway City. I wished I had picked his brain a little more. Rest In Peace Mr. O’ Dowd.

Kieran McNulty, Prospect Hill

Deepest sympathy to Mary, and the extended O'Dowd family on the sudden and sad passing of Peadar May his kind and gentle soul rest in Eternal Peace
