Oliver passed away ​​​peacefully, in his 99th year, surrounded by his loving family, and in the wonderful care of the staff of St Michael’s Ward, University Hospital Galway following a recent fall.

 

Beloved husband and best friend to Teresa (Tess) for 70 years.  Cherished father of Kevin, Maeve Browne, Aiden, Doreen Hoey, Denise Thompson and Joe.  Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his grandchildren Lorcan, Shane, Ronan, Fergus, Niamh, Ailbhe, James, Aishling, Sarah, John, Liz, Cathy and Alex, his fifteen great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, the extended O’Rourke and O’Neill family, neighbours and his wonderful circle of friends.

 

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour,  Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Wednesday, 29 November, from 4.30 pm to 6.30 p.m.    Removal  from his home on Thursday, 30  November to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, arriving in advance of Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.   Funeral after Mass to Tubberclair Cemetery, Tubberclair, Co.
