Cunningham (nee O’ Rourke) Nora (Norrie). Derrybrien, Loughrea, Co. Galway and formerly of Ballygaddy Road, Tuam, Co. Galway. Peacefully on the 10th of June 2021 at Rosemount Nursing Home Gort.

Pre-deceased by her loving Husband P.J. Cunningham and by her brother Tommie and sister Mary (Lal).

Deeply regretted by her loving family. Cherished and much loved mother of Jimmy, John, Joseph, Pat, Mary, Geraldine (O’ Connor), Gerard, Tommie and Michael. Sadly missed by her son in-law and daughters in-law, sisters Betty (Joyce), Annette (Noone) and by her brother Jimmy. Fondly remembered by her twenty grandchildren and great grandson, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends, neighbours and by the extended Cunningham and O’ Rourke family’s.

Due to current government restrictions Norrie’s funeral will be held in line with current government restrictions. Norrie will rest at home in Derrybrien with her beloved family. Norrie’s funeral cortege will leave her residence on Sunday June 13th at 12.30 for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church Derrybrien at 1.00pm. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Donations if desired to The Galway Hospice Foundation Palliative Care. Due to Government and HSE restrictions Mass will be for family only. Norrie’s Funeral mass will be live streamed on Condolences to the family can be left in the online book below or can be sent in the traditional manner.

The Cunningham family deeply appreciate your kindness, and support at this difficult time. A memorial mass for Norrie will be held at a later date. A special thanks to Dr. Richard Joyce and his staff, the staff at St. Brendan’s Community hospital, Loughrea, Galway Hospice Palliative Care team and to the staff in Rosemount Nursing home Gort for their compassionate care for Norrie in her final weeks.
