Nancy Dermody
Nancy passed from this life on the 15th of March 2023, in the care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe and surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Mossie and her grand-daughter Aoife, her parents William and Annie and her brother Willie.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her son Maurice, her daughters Anne Marie (Dublin), Karen (Hodgins, Tynagh), Jennifer (Dublin), Carmel (Cork) and Shauna (Lorrha), her daughter-in-law Valerie, sons-in-law, Eamon, Tony, Tom, Tadhg and Richie and her much loved grandchildren.

Nancy will be deeply mourned by her brother, John, her sisters Mary, Sadie, Teresa and Bridie, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, her exceptional neighbours in Forest Glade, her many friends and the residents and staff of Portumna Retirement Village.

Nancy will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village (H53 AY18), on Friday 17th March from 4pm to 6pm.

The funeral cortege will arrrive at St Brigid’s Church, Portumna, at 10.45am on Saturday morning for Nancy’s Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards in St Michael’s cemetery, where Nancy will be laid to rest beside her beloved Mossie and Aoife.
