Monsignor Charles P. Coen passed away on December 26, 2024 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. He was born on April 10, 1933 in Woodford, Co. Galway, Ireland. He was predeceased by Paddy, Jack, Michael, Annie (Cissie) O’Malley, and Margaret King. He will be dearly missed by his extended family including his siblings who survive him: May (Sister Concepta), Betty (Sister Patrice), and Anthony (wife, Mary), sister-in-law Julia Coen (Jack), brother-in-law Martin O’Malley (Annie), and his 26 nieces and nephews and their families. Special mention is made of his close friend and caretaker Eileen Condon.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 3:00 - 7:00 at Hodder Farenga Funeral Home 899 McLean Ave., Yonkers, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 30 at 11:00 AM at the Cardinal O’Connor Clergy Residence, 5655 Arlington Ave, Bronx, NY.
Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
