It is with sadness that Michael’s wife Anne and their children John, Mary, Áine, Michael, and Brendan, share the news of his death on Saturday, 1 June, in the exceptional care of the staff at Maryfield Nursing Home, Athenry. Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget, and more recently by his brother Jack.
Michael’s (Mick’s) presence will be missed by his beloved wife and children, sons-in-law Martin and John, daughter-in-law Bridie and adored grandchildren Ian, Darren, Róisín, Seán, Sinéad, Jack and Kian. Fondly remembered and sadly missed also by his brother Joe, sisters Sr. Cecelia, Sr. Bridie, Mary and Margaret, brother-in-law-Mike, sisters-in-law Ann and Maureen, their families, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at ‘Aras Naofa’, within the grounds of the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore, on Tuesday, 4 June, from 5 p.m. Removal to the adjacent Church at 6.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael on Wednesday, 5 June, at 11 a.m. Following Mass, he will be brought to Shannon Crematorium. There will be a final blessing at 4 p.m. at the Crematorium without any expectations or pressure on relatives, neighbours and friends to travel. You are all welcome.
