On Saturday 8 March 2025, Maura slipped away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Galway.
Pre-deceased by her husband Miko, brother Michael John and sister Florrie.
Deeply mourned by her loving sons and daughter; Conor, Mike and Gloria, her sisters Teresa and Anne, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, her 8 adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Monday 10 March 2025 : Maura will repose in the Pastoral Centre within the grounds of St. James’ Church, Bushypark, Galway (H91 A5V2) from 5pm, with removal at 6:30pm to the adjacent church.
Tuesday 11 March 2025 : Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Maura at St. James’ Church, Bushypark at 11am. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with her late husband Miko in the adjoining cemetery.
