Mary (Babs) Finnerty (née Walsh), Dun na Mara, Renmore, Galway and formerly of
Ballycolgan, Headford, 25th November 2023. Babs passed away peacefully in the
wonderful care of St. Finbar’s Ward UHG, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife
and best friend (of 63 years) of her husband Martin Joe. Adored mother, sister, sister-inlaw, nana, great nana, mother-in-law and aunt. Babs is predeceased by her parents Katie
and Pat, brothers Tommy and Paddy, sisters-in-law, Dell, Baby and Madeline, brothers-inlaw Stephen and Michael Francis, and nephew Declan.
Deeply mourned by her husband Martin Joe, son Patsy, daughter Bernie Divilly, sister
Noreen Cosgrove, daughter-in-law Josie, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren Natashia (and
her husband Damien), Teigan, Katelyn, Nigel and Luke, great grandchildren Leah Jane,
Alanna, Sophie and Izzy, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, great neighbours and
friends.

Reposing in Áras Naofa in the grounds of St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Renmore on Monday
evening 27th November from 5pm until 6.30pm. Arriving at St. Oliver Plunkett Church on
Tuesday morning 28th November, for requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to
Cloughanover Cemetery, Headford.
