Who passed away peacefully on Friday 25th October 2024, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of the Sliabh Aughty Unit, St. Brendan’s Community Nursing Unit, Loughrea.
Predeceased by his father Michael (Malachy), mother Mary Teresa, sister Mary and brother Micheál.
Murt will be sadly missed by his devoted wife and best friend Mary.
Murt will be deeply mourned and missed by his sons Kieran, Gerard and Martin and their partners Lesley and Ana-Marta, daughters Maria (Currie) and Pamela (Lundon) and sons-in-law Jamieson and Séamas, niece Christina, cherished grandchildren, brother Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Murt will lie in repose in Kilboy's Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF63), on Sunday 27th October from 3pm to 5pm.
Murt's funeral cortege will arrive to St. Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea, for Requiem Mass on Monday 28th October at 12:30pm, followed by burial afterwards in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
