The death has taken place of Margaret Mary (Peggy) Murphy (nee Carney). Drumacoo, Kilcolgan (Galway), originally of Arderry, Aghamore, Co Mayo.
Died suddenly and peacefully at U.H.G, Galway, on Saturday 3rd of February 2024.
Wife of the late Joe (Carnacrow, Headford), daughter of the late Michael and Annie Carney (Arderry, Aghamore), mother of the late Karen Dey (nee Murphy).
Deeply mourned by her son Tony and daughter Jackie; loving sisters Eileen O’Brien (Kilkelly), Christina Knight (Arderry), Marion Carney (Arderry), brothers Tommy Carney (Castlebar), Michael Carney (Meeltrane) and Brendan Carney (Manchester), grandchildren Erin, Samantha, Joseph, Niall, and Lidia; son in laws Terry & Rob, Great Grandchildren Bobby & Nelly, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at The Corless Funeral home Kinvara (H91 R25K) on Wednesday evening February 7th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen (H91N611) this Thursday, February 8th, at 12 noon. Interment after in Drumacoo Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed at the Ballinderreen and Kinvara Facebook page.
