It is with deep sadness that Marcella’s family share the news of her peaceful death in the wonderful care of the staff of the Shannon Ward at Galway University Hospital on Tuesday, 9 October, 2024.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Eamon and much-loved mother of Seán, Fionnuala, Pearse and the late Sinéad. Marcella will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Aisling, Fionn, Dúaltha, Oisín and Meagan, great grandson Ruadh, the extended Carney and Kilcoyne family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Thursday, 10 October from 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Arriving at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Friday, 11 October in advance of Requiem Mass therein at 11 a.m. Following Mass Marcella will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.
