John passed peacefully from this life on 25th of November 2023 surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of the Galway Hospice.

John will be deeply missed and always remembered by his partner and best friend Geraldine, his daughters Bridget and Liz, sons-in-law Seamus and John, grandchildren Darren, Martin, Evan and Amy and great-grandchildren Rowan and Reggie.
John will be deeply mourned by his sisters Kitty and Teresa, his brothers Paddy and Tommy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, his nieces and nephews, his best friend Ritchie, members of the extended family, neighbours, his four-legged companion Mia and his wide circle of friends.

John will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, Barrack Street, Loughrea on Monday 27th of November from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortege will arrive to St Brendan’s Cathedral Loughrea on Tuesday 28th of November at 12.15pm for Requiem Mass for John at 12.30pm. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the Carmelite Abbey cemetery, Loughrea.
