John (Johnny) Murphy (former livestock Auctioneer) died 26th of July 2024 in his 99th year, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, siblings Mary, Tom, Michael and Martin and family friend John O'Toole.

 

Cherished and much loved John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Peggy, children Mairead, Sean, Maura and Geraldine, sister in-law May, sons in-law Jarlath, Bob and Robby and Sean's partner Chris. Dearly loved by his grandchildren Emma, Darren, Rachel, Daniel, Iarlaith, Anna, Eva, Emily and Luke, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing in the Scared Heart room in Ryehill Church, Monivea (H65 YE18) on Wednesday 31st of July from 5:30pm to 7:30pm with removal to the adjoining Church. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Thursday, August 1st in the Church of The Sacred Heart, Ryehill, after which John will be laid to rest in Tobar Padraig Cemetery.

Well Johnny Murphy you have finally bowed out of the Living World and into the Spiritual World high above in the heavens looking & smiling down at all of us you left behind in your ninty ninth year. It was my privelege to know you do a little work in the bog,on the sillege pit and God the testing of all them cattle with Frank Brody (our vet )and our team of Sean,Iarlath,Danny, Bobby,& Darren plus others we could pick up on the day, and when we would go in for the dinner the great conversations we had with Peggy at the table. Both yours & Peggys home was the best open house to call too in our parish of Ryehill,Monivea,Abbeyknockmoy or Crumlin for the cup of tea and a good conversation. Whilst your body may leave our community & parish your great memories and spirit will remain with us all. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN JOHNNY GOD BLESS YOU AND MAY YOUR BEAUTIFUL HAPPY SOUL REST IN PEACE. WHILST YOU HAD THE PRIVALEGE OF MAKING IT TO 99YRS IM NOT SURE IF SOME OF US WILL MAKE THE SAME DISTANCE SO YOU NEVER KNOW HOW THE Q IS COMING UP BEHIND YOU. SAY HALLO TO ALL OUR ANCESTORS UP THERE IN THE HEAVENS AND WITH TIME WE WILL JOIN YE ALL.
