Joan passed away yesterday, peacefully following a brief illness in the wonderful care of the staff at the Galway Hospice, with her loving family by her side.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband David Snr. in December, 2022.
Deeply mourned by her heartbroken sons and daughters David Jnr., Fidelma, Peter, Brendan, Eamonn, Marie and Justin, sister Peggy, by her cherished grandchildren David, Alison, Aisling, Sinéad, Katie, Chris, Adam, Jamie, Luke, Jessica, Conall and Laoise and by her very precious great grand-daughter Maleea. Sadly missed also by her daughters-in-law Teresa, Severine and Aoife, her nieces and nephews, the extended Ray and Scanlon family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Aras Naofa, (H91 YV52) within the grounds of the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore on Sunday, 3 December from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Joan on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Garrison Church, Renmore. Following Mass she will be laid to rest with David Snr. in Rinville cemetery, Oranmore.
