Predeceased by his wife Kathleen (née Cubbard), his parents May and Jimmy, brothers and sisters Seán, Dicky, Michael, Teresa and Claire and more recently by his niece Sharon.
Gerry (Mouse) died on St. Brigid’s Day, 1 February following a short illness at Galway University Hospital. He bore his illness with great dignity, quietly and with no fuss.
Deeply mourned by all his family, in particular his two sons Keith and his wife Karen, James and his partner Nicola, his much-loved grandchildren Kaitlin, Lilly, Fiona, Shane, Caoimhe and Rionn and siblings Declan, Kathleen and Tony. Sadly missed by all the Morris and Cubbard relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at the O’ Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) on Sunday, 4 February, from 5.00 p.m. Removal at 6.30 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Claddagh.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Gerry on Monday, 5 February, at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. Reunited with Kathleen and his family.
