Gen passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday 4th of December 2024, following a short illness in her 93rd year, in the care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe and surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, her daughters, baby Hilary, Maura and Pauline.

Gen will be sadly missed and always remembered by her daughter Angela, her sons Laurence, Paraic and Brian, her son-in-laws Donal and Peter, her daughter-in-law Teresa, her grandchildren Ciara, Gus, Amy, Sarah, Aaron, Dylan, Aoife, Katie and Laoise, and her great-grandchildren Kai and Cole, her nieces and nephews, members of the extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Gen will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village (H53 AY 18) on Friday 6th December from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortege will arrive to the Sacred Heart Church, Killeen (H53 NW63) on Saturday 7th December at 11.45am for Requiem Mass for Gen at 12noon. Burial will take place after Mass in Kilcorban cemetery.
For those unable to attend, Mass will be streamed, with the link to be added later.
