The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lily) Geraghty (nee McGrath) High St, Headford, Co. Galway and formerly Sheehan, Gort, Co. Galway. Lily died peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Galway Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Tom. Pre-deceased by her sisters Mary (McGinty) Helena (Moylan) and brother Pat.
She will be dearly missed by her loving daughters Ailish and Martina, her sons, Richard and Tomás, daughters-in-law, Carol and Breeda, son-in-law, Michael, her adoring grandchildren Ciara, Aoife, Daragh, Médbh, Tiarnagh, Brian agus Mark, sisters Brid (Cotter) and Kathleen (Kerins), brother Martin, sister-in-law, Kitty, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear neighbours, and her circle of cherished friends.
Reposing at Ryder’s funeral home, Headford on Sunday evening, 26 November 2023, from 5pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. Mary’s Church, Headford. Requiem Mass to celebrate Lily’s life will take place on Monday, 27 November, at 12.00 followed by burial afterwards in Cloughanover Cemetery.
