On 24 February 2024, Elizabeth died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness at University Hospital Galway.
Predeceased by her late husband Joseph; Pat and baby Margaret, her darling grandson Cillian, siblings Maureen, Tommy, Cathy, Patrick (Sonny) and John.
Dearly missed by her sons and daughter; Kathleen, Kevin, Gerard, Sean and Derek, daughters-in-law; Hilary, Trudi and Ita, grandchildren; Aisling, Sinéad, Shane, Ben, Gary, Oisín, Charles, Linda, Karen, Jennifer and Owen, her great grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, many relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 from 5:00 p.m. with Removal at 6:30 p.m. to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Elizabeth on Wednesday, 28 February 2024 at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with her late husband Joe in Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only.
