On Sunday, 01 December, 2024, Kay passed away peacefully at Galway University Hospital with her daughter Anne-Marie by her side. Predeceased by her husband Gene, son Eugene, parents AnnaKate and Thomas, siblings MaryJo and William and by her second husband Paddy.

 

Dearly loved mother of Pádraic, Anne-Marie, Yvonne and the late Eugene. A very precious mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by her children, son-in-law Kieran, adored grandchildren Niamh, Jeanne, Jerome, Laura, Molly and Vincent and their partners Daragh. Ronan and Stef, great-grandchildren Cora, Isabella, Sebastian, Faya and Olivier. Cherished memories by the extended Tierney and Brogan family, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway, on Wednesday, December 04, from 5.30 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6:30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Kay on Thursday, December 05, at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with Gene and Eugene in Rahoon Cemetery.
