Una, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the Sliabh Aughty Unit, St Brendan's Community Nursing Unit, on Monday 3rd March, 2025.

 

Predeceased by her loving husband Michael, grandson Jason Daly, sisters Nancy and Mary and brother Tommy, son-in-law John Joe Gately.

 

Devoted mother who will be sadly missed by her loving children Mary (Gately), Catherine (Daly), Anna (Stapleton) and Peter.

 

Ever loving grandmother who will be fondly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

 

Una will be sadly missed by her sister Eilish Jordan, brother John Joe McDonagh, sister-in-law and sons-in-law, nieces and nephews.

 

Una will lie in repose in Kilboy’s Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF63) on Friday 7th March from 5 to 7pm with Removal afterwards to the Church of the Holy Family, Clostoken.

 

Una’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday 8th March 11am in Church of the Holy family, followed by burial in Clostoken cemetery.

The O’Brien family would like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours, and friends for all their kindness and help in every way at this very sad time.
