Formerly of Main Street, Cavan Town, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Celia, his brothers Martin and Finian and his granddaughter Lucy. Dearly beloved husband of Geraldine, father of Liam, Diarmuid, Celia, Conor, and Fergal. Sadly missed by his loving sisters Moya, Claire, Nora, Rosaleen, Bláithín and Siobhán, son-in-law Fergal, daughter-in-law Jacinta, grandchildren Lily, Charlie, Diarmuid and Frankie, nieces and nephews relatives and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Áras Naofa, in the grounds of St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Renmore on Friday the 24th of November from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to the adjacent church. Dermot's Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday the 25th of November at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.

Deepest condolences to the Maloney families on Dermot’s sad passing. I have the fondest memories of growing up with Dermot in Cavan. We were class mates in “The Brothers” and enjoyed some great times of fun and mischief. May he rest in peace. Johnny and Gabrielle O’Hanlon, Latt, Cavan.

Only just learned of Dermots passing went to school for a time in kilnacrott with Bernard Seamus and Noel Galligan Our paths crossed when he worked in the four provides pub across from eros statue in London what a great guitarist he was at school great fun don’t know if he continued on that path and so so sorry to hear the sad news,strange as it may seem just met a lady this evening called Una whose father was a great friend of Nora one of Dermots sisters living in Dublin and a friend of Bernard’s in Galway small world
