On Sunday,3 December, Daithí passed away peacefully after an illness borne with great dignity and courage at home with his dearly loved wife Hilary and children Sorcha, Dioraí and Rory by his side. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Michael and Maureen O’Connor and mother-in-law Mary Molloy (née O'Shea).
Deeply mourned by his heartbroken wife, sons and daughter, brothers Donald, Conor, Michael, Geoffrey and Gerald, father-in-law Gerry Molloy, the extended O’Connor and Molloy family, great neighbours and wonderful friends.
Daithí will repose at home in Kingston on Wednesday evening, 6 December from 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, 7 December to arrive at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill in advance of Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest close to his home in Rahoon cemetery.
