Good bye Chris . Like a lot of things in life I did not know of your illness , and should have called of visited while you were up and about . Always rushing or hurrying to save time to waste it somewhere else. The sad story of life . Thanks for the many cups of tea , shared with Jimmy , while we debated the problems of the "Water Scheme" . and sorted them out . To all the family my condolences , and you should all rejoice in her very long life and the respect and admiration she was held in by those who new her from her early camogie days right through to overseeing her family's success . Her life will be hard act to follow . Yours sincerely Tom , (Furey , Doughiska , now Moycullen)

So sad to hear of Auntie Chris’s passing. Our annual visit to Oranmore to see Chris and family was always a highlight of our holidays. Chris would prepare a lovely tea for all 8 of us and we enjoyed every bit of it. After Jim and Paddy returned from having a pint, a cèilidh was had in the kitchen. Thank you for all the lovely memories Chris. May you rest in peace.

I first met Auntie Chris in the mid sixties just after she got married to Jimmy - she was a very kind and gentle person and you always got the most delightful welcome every time you visited her and Jimmy in Oranmore - I’ll always remember her warm smile and softly spoken voice.
