Canon Michael Mulkerrins, retired Parish Priest Renmore, Galway, formerly Oughtmama, Bellharbour, Co. Clare died peacefully on the 20th of October 2024, to the inexpressible grief of his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of University Hospital Galway.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary Ellen and his brother Jim (recently deceased).

Michael died following a life of ill health, courage, positivity and resilience.

Canon Michael’s death is deeply regretted by the Bishop of Galway, Michael Duignan and his fellow priests in Galway Diocese.

He will be deeply mourned and very sadly missed by his brothers Fr. Bernard, Declan and Eamon, sisters Mary (Purcell), Eileen, Dympna and Anne (Mannion), his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, parishioners and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Áras Naofa Funeral Home, Renmore, on Wednesday 23rd October from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore on Thursday 24th October at 12 noon followed by burial at Corcomroe Abbey, Bellharbour, Co. Clare.
