On Monday, 14 October Bridie completed her life’s journey in her 88th year, on her granddaughter’s birthday and peacefully with her dearly loved family by her side whilst in the care of all the wonderful staff at Galway University Hospital.
Dearly beloved wife of Leo and much-loved mother of Barbara, Paul, Michelle, Ester, John, Dympna and Joseph. She will be forever missed by her devoted husband and children, seventeen cherished grandchildren, a great grandson and a great granddaughter, nephews and nieces in particular Tony her nephew with whom she brought up as a son. Bridie will always be fondly remembered by her sons-in-law and her daughters-in-law, the extended Creane and Cooke family, lovely neighbours and friends.
Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family Funeral Parlour, Mervue (H91FH52) on Thursday, 17 October from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. with Removal to the adjoining Church following prayers. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bridie on Friday, 18 October at 11 a.m. and her final resting place will be in Rahoon cemetery overlooking the city she loved. (H91XW62).
